Workers from PT Hutama Karya Infrastruktur (KHI) continued reconstruction work on the severed road in Malalak, Agam, West Sumatra, on Sunday (22/2/2026).

The government has successfully reconnected the road that was cut off by a landslide disaster in late November 2025, spanning more than 300 metres in Malalak. The road serves as an alternative route between Padang and Bukittinggi but has not yet been opened to the public as it remains under construction.
