Road Repairs Lead to Contraflow on Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road

JAKARTA – Drivers passing through the Jakarta–Cikampek Toll Road towards Cikampek should take note of the traffic arrangement in effect since Friday morning (8/5/2026).

PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT), together with the police, is implementing contraflow as a precautionary measure against vehicle density while supporting the ongoing road maintenance work on that section.

The contraflow traffic arrangement is applied from KM 23 to KM 28 towards Cikampek starting at 06:56 WIB.

VP Corporate Secretary & Legal of PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol, Ria Marlinda Paallo, stated that the contraflow is enforced to keep the distribution of vehicle flow smooth, especially while road maintenance work is still underway.

“The implementation of contraflow is a form of traffic engineering carried out to support the smooth flow of vehicles while facilitating the road maintenance work on the Jakarta–Cikampek Toll Road section, which is currently ongoing,” said Ria in an official statement on Friday (8/5/2026).

“Based on the evaluation of traffic conditions and the progress of work on the ground since yesterday, the contraflow traffic arrangement is once again enforced earlier today as an anticipatory step to maintain smooth vehicle flow distribution from the morning,” she added.

During the traffic arrangement, road users are urged to remain cautious when passing through the contraflow area.

JTT stated that it continues to monitor traffic conditions via CCTV and has deployed personnel on the ground to ensure the traffic arrangement runs optimally without neglecting the safety aspect for road users.

In addition, evaluations of traffic conditions and the progress of road maintenance work will be conducted periodically. The latest information regarding traffic arrangements will also be updated according to the situation on the ground.
