The road repair in RT 10, Karangnongko, Ngloro, Saptosari, Gunungkidul, stemming from a sanction against residents involved in an illicit relationship, has been completed. Although finished, the road cannot yet be traversed by motor vehicles because the cement has not fully dried. This is its appearance.

Observations by detikJogja show bamboo barriers placed across RT 10 road. A cement mixer stands near the barriers, and tools for smoothing the cement mixture, made from wood, are still lying on the roadside.

Several pieces of wood are placed on the cement road surface as markers that the cement is not yet fully dry. Piles of sand remain at the four-way intersection of RT 10. No workers are present at the site.

RT 10 Chairman Tugiman stated that the road work began on Sunday (3/5). The repair work lasted two days.

“The road work started from Sunday to Monday and was completed on Monday afternoon,” he said when met at his residence in Karangnongko, Ngloro, Saptosari, Gunungkidul, on Tuesday (5/5/2026).

Tugiman continued that the RT road construction involved all residents through gotong royong. The area of the repaired road, he said, spans hundreds of metres.

“The materials are for patching the RT road. So the damaged and potholed sections are being filled. Previously, this was an asphalt road but damaged; the repaired section is about 200 metres,” he explained.

Tugiman said the repaired road section cannot yet be crossed by motor vehicles because the cement on parts of the road is not dry.

“For now, motorbikes and cars cannot pass; we are waiting for the cement to dry first,” he added.

One resident, who declined to be named, expressed happiness about the road repair near his home, noting that the road’s condition was severely damaged.

“I also joined the community work yesterday; if asked if I’m happy about the road being repaired, yes, I am. Because this road was previously badly damaged,” said the elderly man.

Previously reported, a couple in Karangnongko, Ngloro, Saptosari, Gunungkidul, were caught by residents having an illicit relationship. They were caught leaving an RT meeting almost simultaneously, resulting in the couple receiving a sanction to repair the RT road.

Jogoboyo (Security Section) of Kalurahan Ngloro, Aris Setyawan, said the incident began during an RT meeting held at the end of April 2026. Then, one meeting participant, a man with initials P, suddenly asked to leave the meeting venue.

“10 minutes later, a woman with initials S followed him out of the meeting room,” he said when contacted by reporters on Monday (4/5).

Residents who noticed this became suspicious because neither returned to the meeting. This led to a search for both.

“When searched at his house, P was not there, then residents continued the search to S’s house and found him there,” he stated.

Upon learning this, residents waited for them to leave S’s house. After quite some time, the two finally emerged from S’s house.

“Residents waited for about an hour, and finally, both came out of the house,” he said.

Subsequently, residents secured and brought them to the local RT Chairman’s house. From the clarification, both admitted to having an illicit relationship.

“Finally, after deliberation, the residents agreed to impose a social sanction of 10 dumps of sand and 200 sacks of cement for building the RT community road,” he explained.
