Road maintenance underway: Jasamarga implements "contraflow" on Japek Toll Road

PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) is implementing contraflow traffic engineering on the Jakarta-Cikampek (Japek) Toll Road to alleviate traffic density resulting from road maintenance on that section.

Corporate Secretary & Legal JTT, Ria Marlinda Paallo, stated in Karawang, West Java, on Thursday that the contraflow arrangement is being applied at the discretion of the police.

The contraflow is being implemented from KM 23 to KM 28 towards Cikampek on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road starting at 07:37 WIB on Thursday.

This step is part of efforts to reduce congestion and maintain smooth traffic flow towards the Cikampek area.

JTT, along with relevant officials, continues to regulate traffic and monitor field conditions to ensure that road users’ journeys remain safe and smooth.

JTT urges all road users to plan their travel times well, ensure their vehicles are in prime condition, and confirm sufficient electronic money balance before entering the toll road.

Senior Manager Representative Office 1 JTT, Amri Sanusi, previously stated that preventive maintenance is necessary to ensure the road remains in optimal condition and safe and comfortable for users. The maintenance involves reconstruction of the road pavement.

The road pavement activity is being carried out from KM 57+945 to KM 57+845 on lane B towards Jakarta on lane 1, starting on Monday (4/5) at 08:00 WIB until Sunday (10/5) at 02:00 WIB.
