Road Closures and Traffic Diversions During Merdeka Run on Saturday Morning
Polda Metro Jaya will implement traffic diversions during the Merdeka Run event on Saturday (29/8) morning.
The Merdeka Run is part of the 81st Anniversary of Indonesian Independence celebrations. The running event will start from the front of the Merdeka Palace building and end in the Silang Monas area.
“Road closures and traffic diversions will begin at 4:00 AM until 8:00 AM WIB,” said Polda Metro Jaya Director of Traffic, Senior Commissioner Firman Darmansyah, to reporters on Friday (28/8).
The following is a list of roads that will be closed according to the Merdeka Run event schedule:
Jl. Majapahit
Jl. Veteran III
Jl. Budi Kemuliaan
Jl. Medan Merdeka Selatan
Jl. Kebon Sirih
Jl. KH Wahid Hasyim
Jl. M. Mashabi
Jl. Imam Bonjol
Jl. Teluk Betung
Jl. Kota Bumi
Jl. Jenderal Sudirman
Jl. Medan Merdeka Utara
“Use alternative routes by following directions from officers on the road as well as banners that have been prepared by the committee,” he said.
He then urged motorists who wish to carry out activities around the Monas area and Jalan Sudirman-Thamrin to use alternative routes. The following is the list:
Jln. Rasuna Said - Jln. HOS Cokroaminoto - Tugu Tani.
Jln KH. Mas Mansyur - Jln. Cideng Barat - Simpang Harmoni.
(From the Tomang direction) Jalan Tomang Raya - Simpang Harmoni.
