Jakarta — PT Agrinas Pangan Nusantara has entered into a direct collaboration with Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., based in India. Nevertheless, RMA Indonesia emphasises that it remains the authorised brand holder (APM) for Mahindra in Indonesia.

Agrinas is importing 35,000 Mahindra Scorpio Pik-Up units directly from India. The pickups are planned to be used in the Merah Putih Village Sub-district Cooperative (KDKMP) project.

“We have a contract with Mahindra that covers further sales in Indonesia. But within the contract, we also obtained an agreement that Mahindra is authorised to conduct business directly,” Roelof told reporters in Jakarta on Thursday (5 March 2026).

“The only advantage I can foresee is that there will be many vehicles in operation. So, if we are involved in the after-sales business, that would be beneficial,” Roelof said.

Earlier, Joao Angelo De Sousa Mota, Chief Executive Officer of PT Agrinas Pangan Nusantara, said that the global automotive industry’s business model always starts with spare parts supply readiness, followed by the development of a network of workshops and dealers.

“And the plan in the contract with Mahindra, in addition to setting up workshops and dealers, they have also agreed that perhaps I can show later that by 2027 or up to 2028 a factory should be built in Indonesia,” Joao said at a separate event.
