RMA Indonesia Clarifies Import of 35,000 Mahindra Pickups by Agrinas
RMA Indonesia, the authorised representative (APM) for Mahindra in Indonesia, has emphasised that it has no involvement with PT Agrinas Pangan Nusantara, which imported 35,000 Mahindra Scorpio pickups from India. Roelof Lamberts, RMA Indonesia’s Regional Director, said the company was not involved in the transaction conducted by Agrinas with Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. Lamberts added that the deal was made directly between Agrinas and the principal, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. For information, RMA Indonesia has been Mahindra’s APM in the Indonesian market since October 2019. At that time, the model first introduced was the Scorpio pickup. Unfortunately, because it is not a member of the Gabungan Industri Kendaraan Bermotor Indonesia (Gaikindo), its sales data have not been recorded to date. The reason is that RMA Indonesia’s import quota is limited to thousands of units. ‘If you want to confirm the exact quota, they should go directly to Mahindra. For us, each country has its own quota. The maximum is around 3,000 units,’ said Wilda.
