Jakarta – Rismon Sianipar, a suspect in the case alleging that Indonesia’s seventh president Joko Widodo (Jokowi) holds a fake diploma, has delivered a message to fellow suspects Roy Suryo and others regarding the same matter.

Rismon urged the other suspects, including Roy Suryo, not to conceal the truth from the public.

“Don’t hide it, come on. Even if initially you will be considered traitors, that would be lighter than if you conceal it,” Rismon told journalists at the Vice President’s residence in Jakarta on Friday, 13 March 2026.

Meanwhile, he refuted allegations by Roy Suryo and others who claimed Jokowi’s diploma lacked watermarks or emboss features. Based on his latest findings, the digital forensics researcher affirmed that Jokowi’s diploma is proven to be authentic.

“It is always said there is no emboss, no watermarks. I have already conducted cross-checks using dozens of methods and there are (watermarks and emboss),” he stated.

Rismon even challenged Roy Suryo to discuss this matter openly before the public. He firmly stood by his accountability for his new findings regarding Jokowi’s authentic diploma.

He also assured that these new findings were based on his latest scientific methodology.

“Or I invite Mr Roy Suryo or others, let us openly invite journalists, I will demonstrate my method – how lighting at a certain angle can eliminate certain colours that are chromatically or in integer value close to other colours,” he asserted.

To convince the public, Rismon will also publish a book on these findings. He will write the book as a form of atonement to Jokowi’s family whilst also refuting the slander.

“The basis remains methodology, more comprehensive data, and objectivity. Of course I cannot tell this story with empty narratives, I will prove it through my writing and that is ongoing, it takes time,” he said.

Previously, it was reported that Rismon Sianipar visited the residence of Indonesia’s seventh president Joko Widodo (Jokowi) to apologise regarding his research in the book Jokowi’s White Paper.

“As clarified in the past day or two, in the past two months I have continued my research. If it is said I re-examined and re-studied all the methodologies I wrote independently. So I emphasise, it was independently that I wrote the methodology across approximately 480 pages of over 700 pages in the book Jokowi’s White Paper,” he said after visiting Jokowi’s residence in Solo, Central Java, on Thursday.
