Jakarta — Raja Juli Antoni, Secretary General of the Solidarity Indonesia Party (PSI), has welcomed the admission by digital forensic researcher Rismon Sianipar that his allegations regarding the diploma of seventh President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) were entirely mistaken.

Raja Juli stated that Rismon’s acknowledgement of the authenticity of Jokowi’s diploma demonstrates that truth will ultimately find its way to light. “We welcome Rismon Sianipar’s admission that his allegation that President Jokowi’s diploma was forged was entirely mistaken. Truth will find its way,” Raja Juli said in a statement on Friday, 13 March 2026.

However, he emphasised that the authorities would determine the appropriate course of action regarding restorative justice efforts. Raja Juli expressed confidence that the truth would ultimately emerge. “God does not sleep. We hope President Jokowi becomes even more honoured by this occurrence,” he added.

Sianipar made his statement alongside his legal representative, Jahmada Girsang, after meeting with Jokowi in Solo, Central Java, on Thursday, 12 March 2026.

“Yes, of course [I apologise]. I also apologise to the public. Especially to the concerned parties such as President Jokowi,” Sianipar said on Thursday.

“This is the responsibility of a researcher who must be independent and ready to be criticised and insulted with narratives as people see fit. Even though their narratives cannot be scientifically substantiated in the way I presented the Jokowi’s White Paper,” he stated.

“When the diploma case was presented, I continued to examine the analogue diploma of Bapak Joko Widodo to reconsider what I had observed—that there were embossed marks and watermarks. So the embossed marks and watermarks became my focus, and I investigated whether there was a hologram. In fact, there was not,” Sianipar said.

“After examining several other diploma objects from the same year from Universitas Gadjah Mada, I realised that at that time, holograms were not actually used as a security feature on diplomas. So what existed were only watermarks and embossed marks,” he explained.
