Rismon Hasiholan Sianipar has submitted a restorative justice (RJ) petition in the case alleging that Indonesia’s seventh President, Joko Widodo (Jokowi), possesses a forged diploma.

Kombes Iman Imanuddin, the Director of General Criminal Investigation at the Jakarta Metro Police, stated that the RJ petition was submitted last week. “A week or so ago, the individual in question, Rismon, along with his legal counsel, submitted a restorative justice facilitation request to investigators,” Iman told reporters on Wednesday, 11 March.

Iman revealed that today, Rismon and his legal team again visited the Jakarta Metro Police to inquire about the progress of the RJ petition. “Today, Rismon with his lawyer came to us to ask about developments regarding the RJ petition he voluntarily submitted,” he said.

Investigators are currently processing Rismon’s RJ petition. “As facilitators, investigators have undertaken efforts and are continuing to facilitate the petition submitted by the suspect Rismon,” Iman stated.

The Jakarta Metro Police previously identified eight suspects divided into two clusters related to the alleged fake diploma case against Jokowi.

The first cluster comprises five suspects: Eggi Sudjana, Kurnia Tri Rohyani, Damai Hari Lubis, Rustam Effendi, and Muhammad Rizal Fadillah. They are charged under Articles 310 and/or 311 of the Criminal Code and/or Article 160 of the Criminal Code and/or Article 27a in conjunction with Article 45 paragraph 4 and/or Article 28 paragraph 2 in conjunction with Article 45a paragraph 2 of the Information and Electronic Transactions Law.

The second cluster comprises three suspects: Roy Suryo, Rismon Hasiholan Sianipar, and Tifauziah Tyassuma, also known as Dr Tifa. They are charged under Articles 310 and/or 311 of the Criminal Code and/or Article 32 paragraph 1 in conjunction with Article 48 paragraph 1 and/or Article 35 in conjunction with Article 51 paragraph 1 and/or Article 27a in conjunction with Article 45 paragraph 4 and/or Article 28 paragraph 2 in conjunction with Article 45a paragraph 2 of the Information and Electronic Transactions Law.

The Jakarta Metro Police have halted investigations against Eggi Sudjana and Damai Hari Lubis in this matter and issued an Investigation Termination Order. Investigation against both was suspended after they submitted RJ requests.

Meanwhile, investigators forwarded the case files of Roy, Rismon, and Dr Tifa to the public prosecutor on 13 January 2026. However, the prosecutor’s office returned the files, citing incomplete documentation.

Following this, police re-examined several witnesses in Central Java and Yogyakarta on Wednesday, 11 February. One of them was Jokowi, the complainant, who was questioned at the Surakarta Police Resort in Solo, Central Java.
