Rismon Reported for Alleged Fraud Related to 'Gibran End Game' Book
Rismon Hasiholan Sianipar has been reported by former Morowali DPRD Chairman Irwan Arya for alleged fraud and deceit related to the book titled ‘Gibran End Game’ to Metro Jaya Police on Friday (24/4). The report was received by the police and registered under number LP/B/2952/IV/2026/SPKT/POLDA METRO JAYA. “I am reporting Mr Rismon Sianipar because I feel deceived after buying the book ‘Gibran End Game’, where I planned to purchase 200 to 300 copies but only paid for 60,” Irwan told reporters. Irwan recounted that he bought the book during a car-free day (CFD) on Jalan MH Thamrin in Central Jakarta in January 2026. He said he was drawn to the material written by Rismon. Irwan stated he planned to buy 200-300 copies but only purchased 60 for a total of Rp6,002,500. Subsequently, as time passed, Rismon made statements that essentially nullified what he had written in the book. “Over time, a very surprising statement suddenly emerged. I was shocked and did not expect Mr Rismon to nullify and deny that the book he wrote was true. He stated that the contents of this book are lies and fake according to him,” he said. On that basis, Irwan pursued legal action by reporting Rismon to Metro Jaya Police. Rismon is reported under Article 492 of the Criminal Code and/or Article 486 of the Criminal Code. In his report, Irwan also submitted evidence including the ‘Gibran End Game’ book and proof of payment for the book purchase. Metro Jaya Police had previously named Rismon as a suspect in a case of allegations of a fake diploma belonging to the 7th President of Indonesia, Joko Widodo (Jokowi). Rismon then filed a restorative justice (RJ) request, which was approved by Jokowi as the reporter. Now, Metro Jaya Police has officially revoked Rismon’s suspect status. Additionally, it has issued a letter ordering the termination of the investigation (SP3) against Rismon. “The letter ordering the termination of the investigation against suspect Rismon Hasiholan Sianipar was issued on 14 April 2026,” said Director of General Criminal Investigation at Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Iman Imanuddin, during a press conference on Friday (17/4).
