Rismon Challenges Roy Suryo and Associates to Prove Claims that Jokowi's Diploma is Forged

Digital forensics expert Rismon Hasiholan Sianipar has challenged those who continue to question the authenticity of the diploma of Indonesia’s seventh President, Joko Widodo (Jokowi), to demonstrate the truth of their claims.

“Do not hide it. Come forward. Although initially you will be considered traitors, that would be lighter than concealing it,” Rismon said after meeting with Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka at the Vice President’s residence on Friday, 13 March 2026.

He explained that the parties in question were concealing features within the document such as watermarks.

“Yes, the presence of it (is being concealed), the presence of features in the document. It is always said that there is no emboss, no watermarks. I have already conducted cross-checks with dozens of methods and they are there!” he asserted.

Rismon stated he was ready to explain the methodology transparently before the public and journalists, including to telematic expert Roy Suryo and others who still doubted the findings of his analysis.

“Let us openly invite journalists. I will demonstrate my method of how lighting at a certain angle can eliminate certain colours that are chromatically or integer-wise close to other colours,” said Rismon.

“For example, the stamp we analysed is not there. I reconstructed the stamp whose colour is dark when overlaid with black, then chromatically its value is close. If rotated with certain light, that part can disappear,” he added.

Rismon said he preferred to open the analytical method transparently to educate the public. He also stated he was ready to accept criticism and negative assessments as long as the process was conducted scientifically and transparently.

“I would rather not be celebrated, I would rather be insulted and called a traitor than not be able to sleep,” he said.

Therefore, if anyone doubts, especially my brother Roy Suryo and Ms Tifa, whether privately or publicly, I am ready to demonstrate my method in a fair, open, and open-source manner,” he stated.
