Rising Eid Travel Requires Protection Against Accident Risks
The tradition of mudik during Eid represents a vital moment for Indonesians to return to their hometowns and reunite with family. As an annual custom, mudik constitutes one of the largest mobility movements in Indonesia, while also offering a precious opportunity for many to celebrate togetherness and strengthen familial bonds.
During the Free Mudik BUMN 2026 programme event with Bank BRI, BRI Life Director Sutadi explained that alongside the rising trend in Eid travel this year, the company is introducing life protection solutions through various accident insurance products, including the Modi-MOtraveling insurance.
“For this year’s mudik, the public can choose BRI Life’s Modi-MOtraveling insurance as protection against accident risks during travel. With this coverage, people can feel more at ease and comfortable from departure to their hometowns and back home,” he stated in an official release on Wednesday (18/3).
Modi is a digital insurance product that can be accessed directly without complex administrative processes. The entire process, from selecting packages and purchasing policies to monitoring them, is conducted online, providing convenience, speed, and comfort for the public in obtaining protection anytime and anywhere.
With affordable and flexible premiums, insurance periods ranging from daily to annual, and coverage up to Rp100 million, MOtraveling is easily accessible to the public without requiring health examinations and features a quick and practical registration process via https://digital.brilife.co.id/.
Regarding the Free Mudik BUMN 2026 programme, BRI Life collaborates with Bank BRI to provide personal accident protection through Double Care insurance during travel for mudik participants and bus crew. Through Double Care, the company offers three accident risk benefits for mudikers: compensation for death directly resulting from accidents, protection against permanent disability from accidents, and compensation for partial permanent disability (without loss of body parts) from accidents.
