Rising Commodity Prices Drive 11.6% Increase in Non-Tax State Revenue in April

Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa has revealed that Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP) has achieved positive growth after experiencing contractions during the first three months of this year. As of the end of April 2026, PNBP reached Rp 171.3 trillion, an 11.6% increase from the Rp 112.1 trillion recorded during the same period last year. This realisation represents 37.3% of the annual target of Rp 459.2 trillion.

This performance follows a 3% contraction in PNBP during the first quarter of the year. “The performance is very good,” stated Purbaya during the State Budget Performance and Facts press conference in Jakarta on Tuesday (19/5/2026).

Purbaya noted that the improved PNBP performance up to 30 April 2026 was supported by Natural Resource (SDA) PNBP contributions, which reached Rp 83.1 trillion, growing by 3.9%. This was largely due to the rising prices of minerals including nickel, copper, gold, silver, and aluminium.

Furthermore, PNBP from Ministries and Agencies (K/L) reached Rp 58.2 trillion, representing a 49.2% increase compared to last year. This surge was triggered by revenue from communication and information services, as well as administrative fines in the forestry sector resulting from the performance of the PKH Task Force.

Lastly, non-tax revenue from Public Service Agencies (BLU) grew by 26.6% to Rp 29.9 trillion, driven by increased healthcare service revenues under the Ministry of Health and export levies on CPO (Crude Palm Oil) and its derivatives.
