Risen Energy Secures 1.2 GW HJT Module Order from China Huaneng Group, Strengthening Its Position as Industry Leader
Ningbo, China, (ANTARA/PRNewswire) - The strategic cooperation between Risen Energy and China Huaneng Group has reached an important milestone, with the total order for HJT (heterojunction) modules now amounting to 1.2 GW. To date, Risen Energy has delivered nearly 600 MW of modules, which have been effectively utilised in various large-scale solar power plant (PLTS) projects owned by Huaneng. This achievement marks a new phase in gigawatt-scale HJT module deliveries while demonstrating the added value of HJT technology in the mainstream market.
As a leading global energy group, China Huaneng maintains extremely stringent selection standards for photovoltaic (PV) modules. The order from China Huaneng, now exceeding 1 GW, serves as market recognition of the added value of Risen Energy’s products and the strength of its brand. In this project, Risen Energy’s Hyper-ion series HJT modules have become the primary choice due to their key advantages in enhancing efficiency while reducing costs.
From a technological perspective, these modules significantly reduce the use of pure silver through proprietary innovations, including 0BB (Zero Busbar) technology, the voltage-free RisenLink interconnection technology, and ultra-thin silicon wafer processes. In addition to optimising non-silicon costs, these innovations align with the concept of green and low-carbon manufacturing. In terms of performance, the modules achieve a maximum power output of up to 740 Wp+ in mass production versions, with the industry’s highest conversion efficiency. With a high bifaciality rate of 90%±5% and an extremely low temperature coefficient of -0.24%/℃, these modules maintain stable power generation performance and low degradation, even in environments with high radiation intensity and hot temperatures such as in Yunnan. These advantages significantly increase total electricity production over the lifecycle, lower the Levelized Cost of Electricity (LCOE), and meet Huaneng’s primary needs of “high power, maximum yield, and low degradation.”
The successful delivery and grid connection of modules for the 1 GW order not only reflects the strength of the products but also the efficient collaboration between the two parties in project execution. With stable production capacity, reliable product quality, and professional services, Risen Energy ensures timely project completion and optimal operational activities at several of Huaneng’s key power plants.
The collaboration between Risen Energy and China Huaneng serves as a tangible example of the synergy between leading PV companies and Chinese state-owned energy groups in promoting the green energy transition. As the large-scale application of HJT technology accelerates, this partnership further enhances the economic value of solar power plants and supports China’s dual carbon reduction targets. Risen Energy will continue to prioritise added value for customers, deepen research and development of cutting-edge technologies such as HJT, and expand collaborations with global partners to support the construction of new power systems and accelerate the green energy transition.
