JAKARTA: Indonesia will open a trade promotion centre (ITPC) in Johannesburg, South Africa, next February, trade officials said Wednesday.

"The ITPC will be set up in Johannesburg as the city is a strategic place to promote Indonesia's non-oil and gas products," Diah Maulida, head of the National Agency for Export Development, told the state-run Antara news agency.

The new trade office will be inaugurated by Trade Minister Rini Soewandi, who is scheduled to visit South Africa with an Indonesian trade mission next February.

Indonesia currently has ITPCs in Dubai, Osaka, Los Angeles and Budapest. -- DPA
