RI's April oil output declines
JAKARTA: Indonesia's crude oil and condensate production fell 0.6
percent to 1.082 million barrels a day in April compared with a
month earlier, a government official said.
The amount of crude oil pumped was almost unchanged at about
961,200 barrels a day in April, Novian M. Thaib, director of
exploration and production at the Energy and Mineral Resources
Ministry, said in Jakarta on Monday.
Indonesia's output of condensate, a light oil produced in
association with natural gas, fell because of heavy rains last
month, Novian said, declining to give the exact figures.
Indonesia produced 126,500 barrels a day of condensate in March.
Indonesia, Southeast Asia's biggest oil and gas producer, aims
to pump about 1.125 million barrels of crude oil and condensate a
day this year. -- Bloomberg
