Riot Near Klender Station Dispersed, Firecrackers and Bows Seized

Police Commissioner Alfian Nurrizal of East Jakarta Metropolitan Police stated that the riot was dispersed by the Presisi Pioneer Patrol Team of East Jakarta Metropolitan Police together with Patra Brimob personnel. “The riot has been dispersed by the Presisi Pioneer Patrol Team of East Jakarta Metropolitan Police and Patra Brimob personnel,” Police Commissioner Alfian said in a statement on Monday (25 May 2026). Alfian explained that the police received a public report of the riot at 7:10 AM WIB. In response, Presisi Pioneer Patrol Teams C and D, along with Patra Brimob personnel, swiftly proceeded to the scene to address the situation. “Upon arrival, officers successfully intervened and dispersed the riot, quickly restoring order,” he added. Authorities then conducted a sweep and inspection around the incident site, securing several items suspected to be used in the riot. “Seized items included three firecrackers, five bows, and one slingshot projectile,” he said. Police Commissioner Alfian stated there were no reports of fatalities or injuries. The situation at the scene has since stabilised. “Our priority was to disperse the riot and prevent casualties, while ensuring minimal disruption to morning commuters, students, and other activities,” he explained. “Following the restoration of order, officers conducted further checks and security measures at Bonsi Integrated Post to anticipate potential ongoing security threats,” he added. The joint patrol involving Presisi Pioneer Patrol Teams C and D and Patra Brimob personnel is part of routine operations that have been intensified. The team’s swift response to public reports successfully dispersed the riot. “East Jakarta Metropolitan Police urges the public to immediately report any potential security threats for prompt and appropriate handling,” he concluded.
