Ridwan Kamil's Adopted Child Status Verdict Hearing Scheduled for Next Week

Ridwan Kamil attended the Bandung Religious Court to process the adoption of Arkana Aidan Misbach as his child. The verdict hearing is scheduled to take place next week.

RK only gave a brief statement after the hearing, asking for prayers that the proceedings would go smoothly before getting into his private car.

RK’s lawyer, Wenda Aluwi, stated that the adoption case was filed because the custody process had not yet been finalised. He noted that RK had also recently divorced Atalia Praratya.

‘At this time, we are assisting him to continue the application process for the adoption of Arka. Because the procedures that have been undertaken so far have not yet reached a final stage,’ Wenda said at the Bandung Religious Court on Wednesday (8/7/2026).

‘So now, after going through the administrative process and fulfilling all the provisions in the law, as we all know, following the divorce, Arka was handed over to Mr RK by Mrs Atalia,’ he added.

Wenda explained that the adoption petition was filed after RK became a single parent. The court proceedings, he said, have been running smoothly.

‘Thus, we had to start the process as a single parent, a single-parent adoption. So it is being carried out by Mr Ridwan Kamil himself,’ he stated.

Wenda also disclosed the agenda for the next hearing. Barring any obstacles, the verdict hearing for the case will be held next week.

‘God willing, next week, we just ask for your prayers,’ he concluded.
