Richard Lee Officially Detained by Metro Jaya Police, Silent as He Is Led to the Detention Centre
Jakarta, VIVA – Shocking news comes from the Metro Jaya Regional Police. The beauty doctor and prominent influencer, Richard Lee, has officially been detained by investigators in connection with the alleged consumer protection violations case.
Detention occurred after Richard Lee underwent examination at the Directorate of Special Crime Investigation (Ditreskrimsus) of the Metro Jaya Regional Police on Friday evening, 6 March 2026.
Richard Lee left the examination building under tight guard by officers. He was seen wearing a white shirt and black trousers as he was escorted to the Metro Jaya Regional Police detention facility.
Richard Lee’s hands appeared to be cuffed, but concealed by his clothing. The doctor, known for his activity on social media, did not utter a word as he was taken away by officers.
Several media crews waiting at the location attempted to seek confirmation. But Richard Lee remained silent.
When investigators were asked about his detention status, one officer only nodded, without giving further explanation.
Earlier reports stated that the doctor Richard Lee again attended an examination as a suspect in the alleged consumer protection violation case at the Metro Jaya Police, on Thursday, 19 February 2026.
This examination was the second one, after it had been postponed due to a lawsuit filed with the South Jakarta District Court.
Richard arrived wearing a white shirt and a white mask covering his mouth. He was accompanied by his legal counsel and immediately gave a statement to reporters.
“I personally thank the media. I value the outcome of my pre-trial today with my cooperative attitude as I come to fulfil my obligations as a good citizen,” he told journalists.
It is noted that the lengthy examination of the beauty doctor Richard Lee as a suspect eventually stalled mid-process. After nearly 10 hours of legal proceedings at the Metro Jaya Police, Richard Lee complained of health problems and asked that the examination be halted temporarily.
Richard Lee was known to have visited the Metro Jaya Police on Wednesday, 7 January 2026, at around 13:00 WIB. An hour later, investigators began examining him regarding alleged violations in the health and consumer protection sectors.
The examination process was marathon-like and punctuated by several breaks. At that time, the Head of the Public Information Sub-Division Bidhumas of the Metro Jaya Police, Senior Commissioner of Police Reonald Simanjuntak, explained that the examination had been temporarily halted to rest before continuing.
