Rice, Sugar and Beef Prices Rise Again, Check the Full List

Jakarta – The National Strategic Food Price Information Centre (PIHPS) of Bank Indonesia reported that the price of lower-quality grade I rice rose by Rp 400 to Rp 15,250 per kg, while lower-quality grade II rice increased by Rp 600 to Rp 15,250 per kg.

Medium-quality grade I rice rose by Rp 100 to Rp 16,650 per kg, while medium-quality grade II rice fell by Rp 100 to Rp 16,150 per kg.

Super-quality grade I rice declined by Rp 200 to Rp 17,550 per kg, and super-quality grade II rice also fell by Rp 200 to Rp 17,000 per kg.

Meanwhile, the price of medium-sized shallots rose by Rp 1,300 to Rp 40,700 per kg, and medium-sized garlic also increased by Rp 450 to Rp 41,100 per kg.

The price of purebred chicken eggs fell by Rp 1,250 to Rp 28,200 per kg, while fresh chicken meat also declined by Rp 1,400 to Rp 39,200 per kg.

Large red chillies dropped by Rp 4,650 to Rp 44,550 per kg, and curly red chillies fell by Rp 2,100 to Rp 49,100 per kg. Green bird’s eye chillies declined by Rp 4,300 to Rp 49,750 per kg, while red bird’s eye chillies rose by Rp 5,000 to Rp 66,350 per kg.

Grade I beef rose by Rp 150 to Rp 151,150 per kg, and grade II beef also increased by Rp 6,150 to Rp 148,200 per kg.

Premium granulated sugar rose by Rp 1,150 to Rp 21,450 per kg, while locally produced granulated sugar increased by Rp 150 to Rp 19,250 per kg.

Lastly, bulk cooking oil fell by Rp 350 to Rp 20,150 per litre, branded packaged cooking oil I declined by Rp 300 to Rp 23,950 per litre, and branded packaged cooking oil II also dropped by Rp 50 to Rp 23,450 per litre.
