Rice Scarcity Persists in Bandung City

Bandung Mayor Muhammad Farhan has revealed that a scarcity of certain types of rice is still occurring within the Bandung City area. He noted that the Ministry of Agriculture (Kementan) is currently conducting enforcement measures to resolve the issue.

“Previously, the issue with rice was that, looking at it as a whole without considering specific types, the quantity was actually sufficient. However, when divided by type, mid-range rice has disappeared from the market,” he stated on Monday (5/10/2026).

He explained that the Ministry of Agriculture is carrying out inspections to address this problem and that the local government is awaiting the results of these actions.
