Bank Indonesia (BI), through its National Strategic Food Price Information Centre (PIHPS), reported that the price of lower quality I rice rose by Rp 450 to Rp 15,100 per kg as of 10.30 WIB. Increases were also recorded for lower quality II rice, up Rp 650 to Rp 15,150 per kg, and medium quality I rice, up Rp 150 to Rp 16,450 per kg. Medium quality II rice rose by Rp 400 to Rp 16,500 per kg. However, super quality I rice fell by Rp 350 to Rp 17,250 per kg, and super quality II rice dropped by Rp 200 to Rp 16,900 per kg.

Meanwhile, the price of red chillies fell sharply by Rp 7,900 to Rp 62,400 per kg. Large red chillies were priced at Rp 52,200 per kg, curly red chillies at Rp 49,200 per kg, and green bird’s eye chillies at Rp 49,150 per kg. The price of purebred chicken eggs dropped by Rp 1,850 to Rp 27,900 per kg, and fresh purebred chicken meat fell by Rp 2,350 to Rp 34,800 per kg.

For other commodities, quality I beef was recorded at Rp 149,900 per kg and quality II beef at Rp 140,800 per kg. Shallots were priced at Rp 44,400 per kg and garlic at Rp 49,150 per kg. Premium granulated sugar was Rp 20,300 per kg and local granulated sugar was Rp 19,050 per kg. Bulk cooking oil was priced at Rp 20,650 per litre, branded cooking oil I at Rp 24,300 per litre, and branded cooking oil II at Rp 23,500 per litre.
