Rice, Garlic, and Beef Prices Remain High, Check the Full List of Commodities

Bank Indonesia (BI), through its National Strategic Food Price Information Centre (PIHPS), reported that the price of lower-quality I rice rose by Rp 50 to Rp 17,400 per kg, and the price of medium-quality I rice also increased by Rp 50 to Rp 16,350 per kg. Similar increases were seen for super-quality I and II rice, which each rose by Rp 50 to Rp 17,650 and Rp 17,150 per kg respectively. However, the price of lower-quality II rice remained stagnant at Rp 14,500 per kg, and medium-quality II rice also held steady at Rp 16,100 per kg. A surge in prices also occurred for quality I beef, which rose by Rp 400 to Rp 150,250 per kg, and medium-sized garlic, which increased by Rp 400 to Rp 44,050 per kg. PIHPS BI also recorded the price of quality II beef at Rp 141,300 per kg, shallots at Rp 47,950 per kg, purebred chicken eggs at Rp 29,150 per kg, and fresh purebred chicken meat at Rp 36,600 per kg. Furthermore, the price of red bird’s eye chillies reached Rp 63,200 per kg, large red chillies were priced at Rp 50,950 per kg, curly red chillies at Rp 51,050 per kg, and green bird’s eye chillies at Rp 50,200 per kg. The next commodities recorded were premium granulated sugar at Rp 20,300 per kg and local granulated sugar at Rp 19,050 per kg. Lastly, the price of bulk cooking oil was recorded at Rp 20,550 per litre, branded packaged cooking oil I at Rp 24,250 per litre, and branded packaged cooking oil II at Rp 23,400 per litre.
