Rice food aid recipients in Dompu rise 60.6 percent
The number of rice food aid recipients in Dompu Regency, West Nusa Tenggara, for the July-September 2026 allocation has reached 36,572 Food Aid Recipients (PBP), an increase of 60.6 percent compared with distribution in 2025, which recorded 22,773 family heads (KK).
Acting Head of the Dompu Regency Food Security Agency Mauludin said the increase in recipients was the result of updating beneficiary data through the National Socio-Economic Single Data (DTSEN).
“This increase in recipients is not a unilateral addition from the region, but the result of data verification and validation carried out by the Ministry of Social Affairs together with the National Food Agency. So families that were previously not in the data are now recorded and entitled to receive assistance,” he said when confirmed by ANTARA in Dompu on Wednesday.
Based on a letter from Perum Bulog Bima Branch Office Number B-31/23020/08/2026, the distribution of rice food aid for the July-September 2026 period in Dompu Regency covers 36,572 PBP with a total allocation of 1,097,160 kilograms of rice.
The distribution is scheduled to take place on 24-29 August 2026 in eight sub-districts in Dompu Regency.
The number of recipients in 2026 increased by 13,799 compared with the distribution record in 2025, which reached 22,773 family heads. In numerical terms, the increase is equivalent to 60.6 percent.
In the 2025 distribution, assistance was provided for a two-month allocation, namely June-July, with a total of 20 kilograms of rice per family head. Meanwhile, in 2026, the assistance covers a three-month allocation, namely July-September, with each recipient receiving 10 kilograms of rice per month, or a total of 30 kilograms.
With the increase in the number of recipients and the allocation period, the total rice distributed in 2026 reached 1,097.16 tonnes.
Mauludin said the distribution of food aid is expected to help meet the food needs of beneficiary communities.
The regional government, he said, has coordinated with all sub-district heads and relevant officers to ensure rice distribution proceeds in an orderly manner according to the schedule set by Perum Bulog Bima Branch Office.
“We have coordinated with all sub-district heads and officers in eight sub-districts so that distribution runs in an orderly manner. We urge beneficiary residents to attend according to the schedule in their respective sub-districts by bringing the required identity documents,” he said.
He stressed that the Dompu Regency Food Security Agency will oversee the distribution process until all assistance is distributed and will report the realisation of distribution to Bulog and the National Food Agency.
Meanwhile, Head of Perum Bulog Bima Branch Office Alfan Ghazali in his letter requested support from the Dompu Regency Food Security Agency to ensure the distribution of food aid for the July-September 2026 allocation runs smoothly throughout the Dompu Regency area.
The assignment for the distribution of food aid refers to the Letter of the Head of the National Food Agency Number 308/TS.03.03/K/07/2026 dated 30 July 2026.
