Rice and Blankets Arrive in NTT

Humanitarian aid continues to be distributed to disaster survivors in Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT) who are still displaced following the earthquake.

Danamon’s Bali and Nusa Tenggara regional team delivered humanitarian assistance to communities affected by the earthquake in Maurole District on Saturday (22/8/2026). The aid distributed included rice, blankets, tarpaulins, eggs, instant noodles, biscuits, drinking water, and other essential supplies.

The assistance reflects Danamon’s concern and support for meeting the basic needs of communities affected by the earthquake that struck the Nusa Tenggara Timur region on 15 August 2026.

The earthquake, centred near Mbay in Nagekeo Regency, caused fatalities and injuries, as well as damage to facilities and infrastructure in several areas. To support post-disaster response, the team procured and distributed humanitarian aid to communities in Maurole District, Reok District, and Cibal District.

Aid distribution was carried out in coordination with the local government and the regional disaster management agency to ensure the assistance was received according to community needs.

I Gusti Agus Indrawan, Regional Corporate Officer of Danamon Bali & Nusra, expressed sympathy and support for the communities affected by the earthquake in Nusa Tenggara Timur.

“We hope that conditions for the community can recover quickly and that the various response efforts on the ground can continue to run well. By delivering this assistance, Danamon is striving to be present to help communities meet their basic needs and support the post-disaster recovery process.”

Aid distribution was carried out in coordination with the local government and the regional disaster management agency to ensure the assistance was distributed effectively, according to need, and on target. The aid is expected to help meet the basic needs of the community, provide temporary shelter, and support the operation of communal kitchens in affected locations.
