Riau to recruit 8,000 civil servants

PEKANBARU, Riau: A senior government official announced on Friday
that regional administrations in Riau province would recruit
8,000 new civil servants.

Some of the 8,000 new recruits will replace retired civil
servants, while others will fill positions available at regental
and municipal governments in the province, said assistant to Riau
provincial secretary Tiolina Pangaribuan.

The government has announced that it will recruit 300,000 new
civil servants nationwide this year. -- JP
