Riau races to secure 7,000 halal certifications ahead of October 2026

The Regional Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs in Riau and the Halal Product Assurance Organising Body (BPJPH) are intensifying efforts to provide halal certification for business operators ahead of the conclusion of the free halal certification programme in October 2026. The Riau Ministry of Religious Affairs Regional Office stated on Thursday (4/6) that, out of a target of 20,000 halal certificates in Riau, approximately 13,000 certificates have been realised to date, leaving 7,000 certificates still to be pursued.
