Riau Provincial Police Propam Strengthens Internal Supervision and Synergy with TNI Military Police
The Professional and Security Division (Bid Propam) of Riau Provincial Police held an Internal Technical Working Meeting (Rakernis) for 2026 as an effort to strengthen oversight functions within the regional police environment. The activity focused on aligning perceptions while improving the quality of supervision, in line with the increasing complexity of police duties.
The Rakernis also served as a forum for evaluating the implementation of supervision to date, while formulating improvement steps for the future, particularly in aspects of procedural accuracy, accountability, and the speed of handling potential violations.
The Head of Propam at Riau Provincial Police, Senior Commissioner Harissandi, emphasised the importance of the internal oversight role in maintaining public trust in the National Police institution.
“Propam must ensure that every personnel works according to the rules, professionally, and accountably. Oversight is not just enforcement, but also prevention so that potential violations can be anticipated early,” said Harissandi on Wednesday (8/4/2026).
After the Rakernis, the event continued with a halal bihalal for Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah together with the Military Police (POM) of the Indonesian National Armed Forces. This momentum was utilised to strengthen communication and synergy between the TNI and Polri, especially in the function of enforcing discipline and internal oversight.
According to Harissandi, collaboration between Propam and POM TNI is an important element in ensuring that task implementation runs according to legal and ethical corridors.
“When oversight is strong and synergy is maintained, security stability can be controlled and public trust will increase,” he said.
Through this activity, Propam of Riau Provincial Police is expected to be able to strengthen internal oversight while building cross-institutional solidarity to present a professional and trusted police force.
