Dirpolairud of Polda Riau, Kombes Apri Fajar Hermanto, stated that the JALUR programme is an initiative by the Riau Police Chief as a manifestation of concern for coastal communities. “This activity represents the presence of the Indonesian National Police (Polri) among the people. The JALUR programme is implemented continuously in the coastal areas of regencies and cities in Riau Province,” said Kombes Apri in his statement on Friday (8/5/2026). Through the Coastal Community Economic Care programme, Ditpolairud personnel distributed 50 sacks of rice to residents of Sungai Guntung Village. In addition, the Floating Clinic of Ditpolairud Polda Riau provided free health examination services, utilised by around 50 residents. The JALUR programme also targets the education sector through the Kapal Baca or Floating Library activity. Ditpolairud personnel encouraged students of SD Islam Al-Munawaroh Sungai Guntung to increase their reading interest while handing over writing materials to the pupils. The activity, centred at the Sungai Guntung Village Hall, was led by Ps Kasubdit Patroliairud of Ditpolairud Polda Riau, Kompol Rahmat Hidayat. Also present were Kasatpolairud of Polres Inhil, Iptu Imbang Perdana, personnel from Patrol Vessel KP IV-2001, and Lurah Tagaraja Hendrizon. On that occasion, Ditpolairud Polda Riau personnel also handed over tree seedlings to community representatives as a form of support for coastal environmental conservation.
