Riau Police's Srikandi Green Policing Team Wins 1st Place in Perwosi Creative Gymnastics

The Srikandi Green Policing team from the Riau Regional Police secured first place in the 2026 Perwosi Creative Gymnastics Competition. This victory marks a new milestone after the Riau Police’s policewomen’s team achieved third and second place in previous years.

Riau Police Policewomen Coordinator, AKBP Vera Taurensa, expressed appreciation and pride for the achievement. She stated that the success was not a coincidence but the result of the entire team’s hard work.

“Alhamdulillah, the struggle of the Srikandi Green Policing policewomen has borne sweet fruit. From third place, then up to second place, and in 2026, Alhamdulillah, we achieved first place. This is not a coincidence, but the result of hard training every day from 4 to 12 June at the Brimob Headquarters Gym Studio of the Riau Police, coupled with cohesiveness and an unyielding spirit,” said AKBP Vera in her statement on Saturday (13/6/2026).

According to AKBP Vera, this achievement aligns with the Green Policing spirit championed by the Riau Police. Policewomen are not only strong in the field of duty but are also active, creative, and serve as an inspiration for a healthy lifestyle to the community.

On this occasion, AKBP Vera also thanked the Riau Police Chief, Inspector General Herry Heryawan, for his extraordinary motivation and support.

“I extend my deepest gratitude to the Riau Police Chief, Inspector General Herry Heryawan, for his support, direction, and motivation. Thanks also to the Patron of the Riau Police Policewomen, Mrs Tina Herry Heryawan, for her prayers and extraordinary support for the policewomen,” she stated.

“We also express our thanks to the Head of the Policewomen’s Sports Section, Kompol Wenny, and AKP Febri, who patiently accompanied, trained, and guided the Riau Police policewomen from the start of training until the day of the competition. Without their guidance, this achievement would not have been realised,” she added.

The 2026 Perwosi Creative Gymnastics Competition was attended by various agencies and women’s communities throughout Riau. The Srikandi Green Policing team delivered a stunning performance with an energetic, environmentally themed choreography, in line with the Riau Police’s Green Policing programme, which places environmental conservation as part of its service.

AKBP Vera hopes this victory will motivate the Riau Police policewomen to continue improving their achievements, while also encouraging the community to maintain health and the environment together.

“First place today, but our future target remains the same: to give the best for the people of Riau. Congratulations Srikandi Green Policing, you are extraordinary,” she concluded.
