Riau Regional Police are mourning the death of one of their finest sons. Aiptu Apendra fell while carrying out his duties securing the Eid al-Fitr Takbiran night in 1447 Hijriah.

This member of the Criminal Investigation Unit at Kampar Police Sector was rushed to hospital in the early hours of Saturday (21/3) after complaining of fatigue leading to shortness of breath. Unfortunately, Apendra was pronounced dead.

Kampar Police Chief AKBP Boby Ramadhan Putra Sebayang explained that Aiptu Apendra was assigned during the implementation of Operation Ketupat Lancang Kuning 2026, as stated in the Sector Police Chief’s Order Letter Number: Sprin/35/III/2026/Sek Kpr dated 20 March 2026.

Boby stated that the late officer was tasked with securing Takbiran night at several strategic points: Al-Iman Mosque in Bukit Ranah Village, Taqwa Mosque in Ranah Baru Village, and the main road at the sub-district office field in Air Tiris Ward. However, prior to that, a dense series of duties had drained his energy for approximately three consecutive days.

Since 13 March 2026, even before Operation Ketupat officially began, Aiptu Apendra had been fully involved in the operation from 13 March 2026. He was also active in condition-creating patrols, regulating public deviations, and all efforts to maintain a conducive security and public order situation (kamtibmas) in the jurisdiction of Kampar Police Sector.

When Operation Ketupat Lancang Kuning officially launched ahead of Eid al-Fitr, the late officer became even more diligent in his duties. On Friday (20/3/2026), starting at 19:00 WIB, he was back on duty securing Takbiran night. Although his physical condition was already showing signs of fatigue due to the packed schedule, Aiptu Apendra never complained or requested a replacement.

Until around 01:00 WIB on Saturday (21/3/2026), while he was still on duty near the Kampar Sub-district Office, the late officer finally complained of extreme fatigue accompanied by shortness of breath. His colleague, Bripka Fitriadi Solihan, immediately took him by four-wheeled motor vehicle to Kampa Health Centre for first aid.

“However, en route, the late officer’s condition worsened until he became unconscious,” said Boby on Tuesday (24/3/2026).

Upon arrival at Kampa Health Centre, the medical team immediately performed resuscitation (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation/CPR), but the condition did not improve. He was immediately referred to Aulia Hospital in Pekanbaru, and at approximately 02:39 WIB, Aiptu Apendra was pronounced dead.

Born in Air Tiris on 24 February 1984, Aiptu Apendra had spent most of his life serving the state and society. As the Criminal Investigation Unit head at Kampar Police Sector, he was known as a figure always at the forefront in every case investigation, always accompanying his subordinates, and never hesitating to give his best for justice.

The Police Chief expressed condolences over the death of the late officer. He also conveyed appreciation for the dedication and high performance shown by the late officer during his lifetime.

“We also wish to express our utmost gratitude to the family of the late officer for their full support during his service. May the story of Aiptu Apendra’s dedication continue to inspire the younger generation to participate in building this nation with love and sacrifice,” he concluded.
