Riau Police Construction of 110 Bridges Funded by CSR, Regional Police Commander Appreciates Collaboration
The Riau Police have built 110 bridges across cities and districts throughout Riau province to enhance community connectivity. The bridge construction utilises corporate social responsibility (CSR) funds and the 1011 Putra Peduli Foundation.
“For this bridge construction, it is the result of collaborative efforts by the 1011 Putra Peduli Foundation and corporate social responsibility (CSR) programmes from several companies,” said Police Commissioner Zahwani Pandra Arsyad, Head of Public Relations at Riau Police, in a statement on Tuesday (17 March 2026).
Of the total 110 bridges, 27 have been completed at 100 per cent. The remaining 83 bridges are in the groundbreaking phase with several already under construction.
The 27 completed bridges were inaugurated on the same day by National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, Minister of Forestry Raja Juli Antoni, Chair of Commission IV of the House of Representatives Titiek Soeharto, and Riau Regional Police Chief Inspector General Herry Heryawan. The inauguration ceremony was held in Gobah Village, Tambang District, Kampar Regency.
Inspector General Herry Heryawan emphasised the importance of collaborative spirit in accelerating regional development. He explained that the project demonstrates that government budget limitations can be overcome through strong synergy.
“We appreciate the 1011 Putra Peduli Foundation and also several companies that contributed to realising this bridge construction. These bridges are crucial for facilitating community mobility,” said Inspector General Herry.
Economic and Social Impact
The bridges are expected to reduce travel times for residents, improve educational access for school children, and accelerate the distribution of agricultural products. The regional police commander hopes that communities will maintain these assets properly so that their benefits can be felt long-term.
Key points of this collaborative project include efficiency through optimisation of non-government funds for public facilities and collaboration involving the active role of the Jakarta-based 1011 Putra Foundation as a social catalyst. The involvement of surrounding companies in providing tangible contributions to their operational environment represents corporate responsibility.
Community Appreciation
Local residents have welcomed the inauguration with enthusiasm. With the new bridges in place, geographic isolation that previously hindered daily mobility has been resolved.
