Riau Police Chief Visits High Prosecutor to Strengthen Law Enforcement Synergy
Riau Regional Police Chief Inspector General Herry Heryawan paid a courtesy visit to the Riau High Prosecutor’s Office. The visit was made in order to strengthen synergy in law enforcement across Bumi Lancang Kuning, as Riau is known.
The Police Chief was received directly by the Head of the Riau High Prosecutor’s Office, I Dewa Gede Wirajana. The Commander of the XIX/Tuanku Tambusai Military Resort, Major General Agus Hadi Waluyo, was also present during the visit.
The meeting proceeded in a warm and cordial atmosphere. Beyond strengthening institutional relations, the gathering served as a momentum to reinforce a shared commitment to maintaining solidarity among law enforcement agencies in order to achieve law enforcement that is professional, objective, transparent and just.
Inspector General Herry Heryawan said the visit was part of efforts to build ever closer communication, coordination and collaboration between the Riau Regional Police and the Riau High Prosecutor’s Office.
“The police and the prosecutors are two institutions with strategic roles in the criminal justice system. Therefore, synergy and communication must be continuously strengthened so that every law enforcement process can run professionally, objectively and transparently, while providing legal certainty and a sense of justice for the public,” said Inspector General Herry Heryawan on Monday (13 July 2026).
According to him, harmonious relations between law enforcement institutions form an important foundation for maintaining security stability and supporting development in Riau Province.
“We have agreed to continue building a solid working relationship, supporting one another in accordance with our respective duties and authorities. The ultimate goal is to provide the best service to the public while ensuring law enforcement runs effectively and with integrity,” he continued.
The Police Chief stressed that the synergy established thus far must be maintained through intensive communication and a spirit of togetherness in resolving every legal issue in the region.
“This visit is not merely a formality, but a manifestation of our shared commitment to maintaining cohesion, strengthening coordination and delivering law enforcement that continues to earn the public’s trust,” the Police Chief concluded.
