Riau Police Chief Inspector General Herry Heryawan has issued firm instructions to all his ranks to consistently uphold integrity and improve Presisi (Precision) services. The Police Chief reminded all personnel not to betray public trust, which is the main weapon of the Indonesian National Police (Polri).

This was conveyed by Inspector General Herry Heryawan during the handover ceremony for several key officials at the Riau Regional Police, held at the Tribrata Hall of the Riau Police Headquarters on Jalan Pattimura, Pekanbaru City, on Monday (13/7/2026). Also present at the ceremony were Riau Police Deputy Chief Brigadier General Hengki Haryadi, along with key officials of the Riau Police and district police chiefs throughout the Riau Police jurisdiction.

The Riau Police Chief emphasised that transfers are part of the organisational dynamics of Polri aimed at improving performance, organisational refreshment, and personnel career development. He expressed hope that the new officials would quickly adapt, understand the characteristics of their assigned areas, and deliver police services that are increasingly professional, modern, and trusted by the public.

Beyond being a moment of leadership change, the handover ceremony also represented the Riau Police’s commitment to maintaining continuity in carrying out duties, particularly in preserving public security and order, law enforcement, and public services oriented towards community needs.

On this occasion, Inspector General Herry Heryawan advised the officials to always maintain integrity and public trust, which are the main assets of Polri. The two-star general also requested all ranks, especially the new officials, to improve Presisi services.

The positions handed over included the Director of Intelligence and Security, the Head of Public Relations, and the Police Chiefs of Dumai, Rokan Hilir, Kepulauan Meranti, and Indragiri Hilir.
