Riau Police Chief Inspector General Herry Heryawan personally inspected the construction progress of the Merah Putih Presisi Bridge located in Gobah Village, Tambang District, Kampar Regency. The visit was aimed at ensuring the infrastructure’s readiness ahead of its official inauguration.

During the inspection, the Riau Police Chief was accompanied by several senior Riau Regional Police officials, including Human Resources Bureau Chief Commissioner Boy Jeckson Situmorang, Mobile Brigade Commander Commissioner I Ketut Gede Adi Wibawa, Police Academy Head Commissioner Indra Duaman, and Kampar Police Chief Adjunct Senior Commissioner Boby Putra Ramadhan Sebayang, on Monday (23 February 2026).

The Merah Putih Presisi Bridge has specifications of 27.5 metres in length and 4 metres in width. The infrastructure has been designed to be sufficiently robust to accommodate four-wheeled vehicles (cars), which is expected to improve accessibility and the local economy for residents.

Kampar Police Chief Adjunct Senior Commissioner Boby Putra Ramadhan Sebayang conveyed several important notes from the Riau Police Chief during the inspection. The Police Chief’s primary focus was ensuring the site’s suitability before the inauguration, which is planned to be attended by National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo.

“God willing, the bridge inauguration by the National Police Chief will be held at this location. Therefore, the preparation of supporting facilities such as access roads and environmental cleanliness are our current priorities,” said Adjunct Senior Commissioner Boby.

During the inspection, the Riau Police Chief requested that the area surrounding the bridge be thoroughly cleaned to ensure a tidy appearance for the inauguration ceremony. Particular emphasis was placed on the readiness of the helipad location and the access route to be used by the National Police Chief.

The inspection, which commenced at approximately 15:30 local time, proceeded safely and in an orderly manner. The presence of the Merah Putih Presisi Bridge serves as tangible evidence of the National Police’s synergy in supporting infrastructure development that directly benefits communities in remote areas.

On the same occasion, Inspector General Herry Heryawan and his entourage also visited a primary school, where the Police Chief distributed writing supplies to the pupils.
