Riau Police Chief Irjen Pol Herry Heryawan conducted a final inspection of the Red-White Precision Bridge in Kampar Regency on Sunday, 15 March 2026, at approximately 12:00 WIB at Gobah Village, Tambang District. The bridge is scheduled to be officially opened by National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo in the near future.

The delegation included Riau Deputy Police Chief Brigjen Hengki Haryadi, Kampar Police Chief AKBP Boby Putra Ramadhan Sebayang, several senior officials from Riau Regional Police, and Kampar Regent Ahmad Yuzar.

The inspection was conducted to ensure all facilities and security aspects were 100 per cent ready before the official inauguration by the National Police Chief. The group traversed the bridge to examine construction details, road surfacing, and street lighting completeness.

“We want to ensure everything runs perfectly. It is not merely about the building structure being robust, but also about aesthetics and comfort for motorists who will eventually use it,” Irjen Herry Heryawan stated at the site.

He instructed officials to ensure the area around the bridge was clean before the inauguration and to anticipate forecasted rainfall during the ceremony. The Police Chief also conducted a full rehearsal to ensure all proceedings, from welcoming ceremonies through to the ribbon-cutting ceremony by the National Police Chief, would proceed smoothly. He instructed all personnel to pay meticulous attention to the smallest details.

“This bridge is not merely a symbol of physical development, but a bridge of hope for schoolchildren in Kampar to achieve their aspirations more safely and quickly,” he added.

The bridge area has been beautified in preparation for the National Police Chief’s visit. Beyond technical inspections, the Police Chief ensured that routes to be used by schoolchildren around the bridge were properly organised and secure.

The bridge is expected to serve as a vital connector between villages, boost the local economy, and provide improved school access for children. Local authorities and residents have warmly welcomed the inauguration.

The 27.5-metre-long and 4-metre-wide bridge is scheduled to be officially opened by National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo on Tuesday, 18 March, with Minister of Forestry Raja Juli Antoni and Commission IV Chairperson of the House of Representatives Titiek Soeharto also expected to attend.
