Riau Police Chief Awards 133 Personnel for Achievements Including Drug and Mangrove Cases
Riau Police Chief Inspector General Herry Heryawan awarded 133 personnel for their dedication and performance achievements. Awards were also given to foundations that contributed to the construction of the Merah Putih Presisi Bridge within the Riau Regional Police’s jurisdiction.
The Police Chief stated that the awards were not merely ceremonial but a form of recognition from the Indonesian National Police, particularly the Riau Regional Police, for personnel who demonstrate dedication and integrity as protectors and guardians of the community.
“A healthy institution not only dares to impose sanctions on violators but also recognises the achievements built by personnel to continuously increase public trust,” said Inspector General Herry Heryawan. He added that public trust is the most important key in building a healthy institution. “Trust must be continuously built through good deeds and become part of our character,” he continued.
In his speech, the Police Chief conveyed that these achievements arose from different tasks but shared the same goal of representing the state through the dedication of the police force. “This is the essence of our duty as members of the Indonesian National Police. Success is not only measured by the number of cases uncovered, but by how many people we manage to protect, lives we save, environments we preserve, and the public trust we build through concrete actions,” he explained.
