Riau Police Chief Affirms Solidarity with TNI and Prosecutors in Law Enforcement

Riau Police Chief Inspector General Herry Heryawan and Pangdam XIX/Tuanku Tambusai Major General TNI Agus Hadi Waluyo met with Riau High Prosecutor I Dewa Gede Wirajana. Inspector General Herry Heryawan affirmed that the Indonesian National Police, the Indonesian National Armed Forces, and the Prosecutor’s Office remain solid and synergistic in law enforcement efforts. This was conveyed by Inspector General Herry Heryawan after meeting the Riau High Prosecutor at the Riau High Prosecutor’s Office on Jalan Jenderal Sudirman, Pekanbaru City, on Monday (13/7/2026). During the meeting, the three law enforcement agencies agreed to continue building a solid and mutually supportive relationship. “We agreed to continue building a solid working relationship, supporting each other according to our respective duties and authorities. The ultimate goal is to provide the best service to the public while ensuring law enforcement runs effectively and with integrity,” said Inspector General Herry Heryawan. Inspector General Herry Heryawan stated that the harmonious relationship between the Police, the Armed Forces, and the Prosecutor’s Office has been an important foundation in maintaining security stability to support development in Bumi Lancang Kuning. The Police Chief also emphasised that the well-established synergy must be maintained through intensive communication and a spirit of togetherness in resolving every legal issue in the region. “This gathering is not merely a formal visit, but a manifestation of a shared commitment to maintain cohesiveness, strengthen coordination, and deliver law enforcement that is increasingly trusted by the public,” he added. The meeting took place in a warm and cordial atmosphere. In addition to strengthening institutional relations, the meeting served as a momentum to reinforce the shared commitment to maintaining the solidarity of law enforcement officers in order to realise professional, objective, transparent, and fair law enforcement. The two-star general stated that the Police and the Prosecutor’s Office have important roles in the criminal justice system. Therefore, through this gathering, the communication, coordination, and collaboration that have been built are expected to further strengthen the relationship between the Riau Regional Police and the Riau High Prosecutor’s Office. “The Police and the Prosecutor’s Office are two institutions that have strategic roles in the criminal justice system. Because of that, synergy and communication must continue to be strengthened so that every law enforcement process can run professionally, objectively, and transparently, as well as provide legal certainty and a sense of justice for the public,” he concluded.
