Riau Islands and Palestine Commit to Strengthening Friendship Ties

Tanjungpinang (ANTARA) - The Riau Islands Provincial Government and the Government of Palestine have committed to strengthening their friendship. The commitment was made during a meeting between Governor Ansar Ahmad and the Palestinian Ambassador to Indonesia, Abdalfatah A. K. Al Sattari, in Tanjungpinang on Wednesday. Governor Ansar stated that the meeting served as a momentum to reinforce the bonds of friendship between the Riau Islands and Palestine. “To this day, we continue to follow the developments regarding the situation of our brothers and sisters in Palestine. The struggle of Palestine is a symbol of humanitarian resilience that touches all our hearts,” he said. The Governor also emphasised that the provincial government and the community remain committed to supporting the Palestinian people’s struggle through various humanitarian actions and fraternal diplomacy. Meanwhile, Ambassador Abdalfatah A. K. Al Sattari expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome, stating he felt at home during his visit. He praised the high level of solidarity and concern shown by the Indonesian people towards the Palestinian struggle. “Accept me as your brother. We will continue to learn from Indonesia, a nation full of hospitality and brotherhood,” said the Ambassador.
