RI to send lone boxer to c'ship

JAKARTA (AFP): Indonesia has decided to send only one boxer to
the Junior World Boxing Championship in Budapest later this week,
a boxing official said on Thursday.

Duddysyah Bahari from Bali will be the sole Indonesian boxer
to take part in the championship to start on Saturday, the head
of the technical commission of the Indonesian Boxing Association,
Ferry Moniaga, said.

Moniaga told Antara news agency that another junior boxer,
Melky, from North Sulawesi, who was prepared to go with Bahari,
opted to attend a national junior championship in Kendari,
Southeast Sulawesi, instead.

The Budapest event will be the first international event for
Bahari, the champion of last year's national junior boxing
championship. He will leave for Budapest on Thursday.
