RI to hold trade fair in KL
JAKARTA: An exhibition, entitled "Discover Indonesia Trade Fair" will be held from July 30 to Aug. 3, this year in Kuala Lumpur to allow Indonesian businesses to explore business opportunities in the neighboring country.
The five-day fair will be organized by PT Exhicom International and TradeNet Exhibition Organizers Sdn Bhd in cooperation with the Ministry of Industry and Trade's National Agency for Export Development, the Ministry of Cooperative and Small & Medium Enterprises and Indonesia's industrial and commercial attache in Kuala Lumpur, according to a press release.
More than 90 exhibitors comprising exporters, manufacturers and regional governments will take part in the expo, the statement said.
"It is expected to boost trade with Malaysia and attract investment to the provinces of Indonesia," the statement said, adding that Indonesian businessmen could also use Malaysia as an alternative avenue to export products to other ASEAN countries and outside the region. -- JP
