RI, Thailand boost antiterror efforts
JAKARTA: The military forces of Indonesia and Thailand have agreed to boost cooperation in curbing terrorism, Minister of Defense Juwono Sudarsono said.
Speaking to reporters after a meeting with visiting Thai Army Chief of Staff Gen. Sonthi Boonyarathglin on Monday, Juwono said that the cooperation would not be in the form of a joint military operation, but would be more focussed on exchanging intelligence information and experience.
He said that such information was crucial to help the police department of each country uncover and crush terrorist networks. -- Antara
