RI team into KL futsal tournament

JAKARTA: An Indonesian futsal team will take part in the 2004
Regional Hyundai Football World Championship in Kuala Lumpur on
May 14, an official of the team's sponsor, PT Hyundai Motor
Indonesia, announced here on Tuesday.

The winner of the regional championship will advance to the
final round in Portugal in June, which will coincide with Euro
2004, Hyundai Indonesia president director Jongkie D. Sugiarto
said.

South Korea-based Hyundai Motor Company is the official
automobile sponsor for Euro 2004.

According to Jongkie, his company has worked together with the
Jakarta Student Soccer Association (ASMAJA) since last year in
selecting players from almost all universities in the capital
city.

From the selection, the team now has 22 players that will
later be reduced to only 10 players, before being dispatched to
Kuala Lumpur to play the Singaporean and Malaysian squads, he
