RI, Taiwan businessmen meet

JAKARTA (JP): The 12th annual Joint Economic Cooperation
Conference for Indonesian and Taiwanese businessmen will be held
here from Feb. 15 to Feb. 18, the organizer said on Monday.

Kenneth Hidayat, chairman of the Indonesia-Taiwan Economic
Cooperation Council, said the conference would discuss
cooperation in agriculture and agroindustry for both countries.

Hidayat said some 50 Taiwanese bankers, business leaders and
potential investors and dozens of Indonesian business executives
representing over 30 business associations were expected to
attend the conference.

The conference will be jointly held by the Indonesia-Taiwan
Economic Cooperation Council, the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce
and Industry and the Chinese National Association of Industry and
Commerce. (cst)
