JAKARTA (JP): Indonesia has agreed to take part in the Millennium Super Soccer Cup in India from Jan. 10 to Jan. 25. The Soccer Association of Indonesia (PSSI) has confirmed its participation to the All India Football Federation (AIFF) last week.

PSSI spokesman Eddi Elison said that the tournament will be attended by 15 teams from all over the world such as Bahrain, Cameroon, Colombia, Chile, Hong Kong, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Jamaica, New Zealand, Qatar, Trinidad and Tobago, Uruguay, Uzbekistan and Yugoslavia.

All of the teams, including host India, are divided into four groups. Group A and Group B will compete in Calcutta, Group C in Goa and Group D in Cochin. The winners and runner-ups in each group will qualify for the quarterfinals.

Eddi however said that PSSI had not decided whether it would field the same national team which is competing in the 2000 Asian Cup in Lebanon. (ivy)
