RI-Slovak phone-card issued
JAKARTA (JP): The state-owned domestic telecommunications operator PT Telkom launched here yesterday a new telephone card design prepared by the governments of Indonesia and the Slovak Republic.
Minister of Tourism, Post and Telecommunications Joop Ave and Slovak Ambassador for Indonesia Peter Ambrovic jointly signed one of the phone-cards to mark its launching.
Telkom has issued 600,000 phone-cards which illustrate two tourist destinations, the Borobudur Temple of Indonesia and Spis Castle of the Slovak Republic, which have won preservation acknowledgements from the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
Since issuing its first phone-card in 1988, Telkom has now a total of 805 phone-card designs. (icn)
