RI-Slovak phone-card issued

JAKARTA (JP): The state-owned domestic telecommunications
operator PT Telkom launched here yesterday a new telephone card
design prepared by the governments of Indonesia and the Slovak
Republic.

Minister of Tourism, Post and Telecommunications Joop Ave and
Slovak Ambassador for Indonesia Peter Ambrovic jointly signed one
of the phone-cards to mark its launching.

Telkom has issued 600,000 phone-cards which illustrate two
tourist destinations, the Borobudur Temple of Indonesia and Spis
Castle of the Slovak Republic, which have won preservation
acknowledgements from the United Nations Educational, Scientific
and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

Since issuing its first phone-card in 1988, Telkom has now a
total of 805 phone-card designs. (icn)
