RI sends team to Iraq over kidnapped women
An Indonesian mission has sent a team to Iraq to investigate the kidnapping of two women nationals by Iraqi insurgents, a foreign ministry official said on Thursday. The Indonesian Embassy in Amman had sent a team of local staff to identify the two Indonesians and to discover their whereabouts, said the ministry's director of legal protection, Ferry Adamhar. Arab news network Al-Jazeera showed footage on Thursday of 10 new hostages -- six Iraqis, two Lebanese and two Indonesian women -- allegedly seized by The Islamic Army in Iraq. -- Agencies
