RI sailor charged with killing mate

SINGAPORE: An Indonesian sailor has been charged with killing a
fellow crew member aboard a trawler berthed in Singapore, news
reports said on Wednesday.

Tan Ho Tjuan, 53, allegedly murdered fellow countryman Tisna,
47, who was also working aboard the vessel, according to The
Straits Times.

The court on Tuesday scheduled Tan's next appearance for Aug.
8.

Tisna was found dead on Sunday lying on the deck with
lacerations to the back of his head. The trawler was docked at
the Senoki Fishery Port. -- DPA
