JAKARTA (JP): Host Indonesia has fielded all 16 billiard players selected for the Kuala Lumpur Southeast Asian (SEA) Games in the main draw of the Bali International Open 9-Ball Billiard Tournament, being held at the Nex Billiard Club in Denpasar.

"There are 64 players in the main draw and Indonesia placed the most players, followed by Vietnam with five players and Singapore with four," organizer Susanto was quoted as saying by Antara news agency on Friday.

"Singapore also placed the only woman, Ammy Hoe in the main draw."

The Rp 20 million (US$1,800) tournament started on Wednesday and will end on Saturday. Other players are from Brunei Darussalam, Japan and Malaysia.

Indonesia also placed 10 Balinese in the main draw.

Sixteen players qualified for the main draw from Wednesday and Thursday's qualification. Another 48 players are automatically admitted to the main draw as each country can send its top three players. (nvn)
